這首歌的原唱Frankie Valli原本是當時美國本土的白人樂團The 4 Seasons的一員，這首曲子是他們歷年精選中詢問度超高的一首，曾經在《越戰獵鹿人》、《絕命大反擊》兩片電影中擔任插曲。



「Can't Take My Eyes off You」有被張菲翻唱過一次，但我始終認為只有原唱Frankie Valli可以唱出1967年代的精隨。就跟「What a Wonderful World」一樣，只有黑人可以唱出在那艱苦時代中遺留的喜樂。如此具有時代性的歌曲也只有該時代的歌手可以完美詮釋。
無論是暗戀、熱戀還是狂戀，這首歌都可以道出愛人者的心聲，那是不會隨著時代變動的感覺。
